Lytham Studio was founded by myself, Douglas Wilkie in 2023. We aim to make original bespoke hand crafted furniture, meeting each clients unique and specific needs.

Having worked and studied as a civil engineer for the previous 10 years, I felt it was time for a career change. Engineering provided an opportunity to make the most of my practical skills, however, I wanted a more creative outlet.

I re-trained at the world-renowned Chippendale International School of Furniture, and operate Lytham Studio out of the graduate workshop space attached to the school in Haddington, on the outskirts Edinburgh.

At Lytham Studio our goal is to craft lifetime pieces of furniture and so quality is of the utmost importance.

We take pride in ensuring all materials used are from verified sustainable suppliers, and where possible all sourced locally.
